Register with GS1 Kenya (Official and Recommended)

  2. Download and Fill the Application Form
    • You will need basic business details.
    • Download it under “Membership > Join Us”.
  3. Prepare Required Documents
    • Copy of business registration certificate
    • Copy of your KRA PIN
    • Completed application form
  4. Pay Registration Fees
    • Registration Fee: Depends on business size (starting from around KES 10,000)
    • Annual renewal also applies
    • You’ll be issued a GS1 Company Prefix
  5. Receive Your Prefix and Generate Barcodes
    • You’ll get a unique prefix (e.g., 616XXXX) tied to your company.
